Ouch - Preventing Chafing on Autumn Walks

Gold Bond Friction DefenseI've been battling more problems with chafing this year than I can remember in the past. Maybe it's happening because I am walking faster again and sweating more. Chafing can happen whenever you sweat, salt crystals form, and skin or clothing rubs repetitively against the area. This has given me the chance to really test some chafing prevention products. In general, they have worked great where I've worn them. The problem is that my body keeps finding new places to chafe! Yesterday I did a fast 10-mile workout at race pace. I used a sample of Gold Bond Friction Defense (Compare Prices) on my chafing problem spots (under-bra and underarms) as well as on my feet for blister prevention. It goes on like a solid deodorant stick. I'm happy to report that I had no nasty chafing or blisters at the end of my workout. I especially liked that this stick is unscented as I am allergic to most scented products. I have enough trouble with autumn allergies without that, too!
