This morning the scale confirmed that I am 40 pounds lighter than I was at the end of December. I started 2012 with arthritis pain in my knee and too embarrassed to allow photos. My walking speed was too slow to raise my heart rate to a moderate-intensity level. Something had to give. I started a 1200-calorie diet and logging my food on our free CalorieCount.about.com site. My weight has gone downhill ever since. By April, my knee arthritis pain was gone.
