Childhood obesity rates are climbing worldwide and health authorities everywhere are looking for solutions. A scary report in the British Medical Journal found that programs designed to provide physical activity sessions for kids had little to no effect in increasing total daily activity, and therefore little effect on reducing obesity risk. It doesn't mean that physical activity doesn't work, it means the programs designed to provide it didn't do the job.
