The evidence keeps mounting that sitting still for long periods is a health risk. A study found that women who reported more sitting time each day had blood chemistry results that showed they were at greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The study included both men and women over age 40. The men didn't show a similar risk from sitting for long periods.
